Seth's Birthday!

How do you like his silly face? Today is his day, and I made him a french toast breakfast with mangos and hot chocolate. Now that he is 12 years old, he'll be able to serve the sacrament in church and hold a calling. How grateful we are that he's a good kid!

Journaling

In Gospel Doctrine today, we talked about how important it is to keep a journal. I was thinking about how I should really just journal mostly for the kids because they do and say such FUNNY stuff.

Just like the other day, we were driving around & this motorcycle passed us at about 80 mph and I said ''That guy on the motorcycle thinks he's all that and a box of cookies.'' Benjamin, buckled in his car seat, said ''Driving a motorcycle AND eating cookies? Not good.'' I was about to ROFL but I was driving so keeping my composure was important.

Nathan won't let me pull his left front tooth even for $10 and it's driving me crazy because the right side is growing in and he MUST have both of them gone at the same time. It's asymmetrical, and thus aesthetically unpleasing to the eye. (my eye, I should say)

Seth keeps losing molars right and left, top and bottom. He'll be 12 next week, so he'll be able to officially serve in the church in the Deacon's Quorum and pass the sacrament each week. When he's taller than me I will really freak out.

Click below for a good site...

This is a link to a website that has a collection of short films encouraging responsible actions in society. Check it out! It's interesting.
Responsibility Project

And another site about Character Education...
Also, about Character in the Classroom...
Also, this was a cute T-Shirt logo I saw recently!

Yoga Storytime

After we were done at the gym, we visited the library where there was an activity. Benjamin is in the green shirt doing Downward Dog. They had a BLAST doing these fun things, and acting out the animals in the books. It was a great morning today!

Nate's Stitches

Saturday April 5 was a boo-boo day for Nate who had 10 stitches for a deep cut on his forehead. It's crazy because I think I jinxed myself by asking a surgeon earlier that day to teach me how to stitch someone up, then this happened. He took it like a man, though, and has a story to tell.

Let's Go To The Beach!

March 29th was a great day trip to Monterey! The waves were CRAZY!

Although I must work this weekend, we'll be using our DVR so we can watch this during the following week for nightly devotional. If you want a copy of the childrens' pdf packet, email me and I'll forward it to you.
